Since 1996, Travel Excellence offers ingenious and innovative ideas to allow the maximum enjoyment of this rich country. As ground operators, we offer all the specialized services required to run a world class operation, providing your clients with adventurous, educational and fun trips that makes them yearn to come back. Thanks to the vision and foresight of the Travel Excellence staff, we can proudly say that creativity and thoroughness are the most important part of our daily labour. Much more than a tour operator, our company gives the opportunity to feel the Costa Ricans friendliness with the professionalism that always characterizes our service.

As a DMC, TE Incentives division coordinates complete programmes, including theme parties, hotel reservations, deluxe transportation, striking excursions, staff support, site venues, giveaways, domestic charter flights or any other special requirements. We work hand-in-hand to design the unique and magical experience that your clients will never forget.

We are ISO 9001:2008 certified, the first and only receptive tour operator in Costa Rica and the region in obtaining it. Our clients from leisure and MICE markets can be confident to work with a company having a management system that is internationally recognized.

In addition, in 2007, Travel Excellence became one of the first tour operators in Costa Rica to obtain the Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST) with a 4 level score. Three years later, after thoroughly reviewing and improving our procedure, we received the highest score of FIVE leaves for 2010-2012 and we have kept this outstanding score for the following period 2013 - 2015. To continue with our sustainability efforts, Travel Excellence has also obtained Rainforest Alliance’s Certification of Sustainable Tourism Services, which gives our company another standard internationally recognized. Both certifications acknowledge our constant work in different areas such as environment, community development and high level of service.

According to our sustainability policy and its environmental commitment, Travel Excellence has the C-Neutral national mark, given to those organizations whose greenhouse-gases inventory has been verified on the national standard INTE 12-01-06:2011. We are the first Tour Operator in receiving this acknowledgment, which reinforces our commitment of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and encourages our offset actions.

Our Sustainability Policy

According to our Mission, enforcing our Managing Policy and considering our values of Excellence, Responsibility, Loyalty, Respect and Readiness, at Travel Excellence we state our strong and steady commitment to:

  • Offer Costa Rica as a sustainable destination by responsible marketing practices that ensure economic business sustainability and showing Travel Excellence as the committed and verified company it is.
  • Comply to and enforce the national and international legal applicable framework, considering labour, tourism, environmental and social issues, especially those in the company’s Sustainability Legal Conformance Declaration.
  • Protect environment by preventing our office and operational impacts, mitigating the inevitable impacts (including rational resources use, waste management and greenhouse gases emission) and reporting damaging practices such as pollution, artificial feeding and captivity or extraction of wild fauna and flora.
  • Safeguard people (clientele, staff, suppliers and others) maintaining proper safety practices and emergency plans.
  • Support the local economy, the traditions and local culture by promoting development on the communities hosting the operation, stimulating a proper interpretation of cultural and archaeological heritage, involving rural attractions and rescuing idiosyncrasy, artistic, sportive and local values.
  • Boost respect and opportunities for most vulnerable or less favoured social groups, such as minors, women, indigenous communities or people with disabilities.
  • Reject business related to illegal trafficking, illicit substance use, sexual harassment, minors’ sexual exploitation or terrorism, including compliance with the US Treasury Department OFAC policies according to our General Business Ethics Policy.
  • Involve tourists on the hereby presented commitments and best practices, as required or applicable on their itinerary.

Fleet

Travel Excellence have its own late model transportation units for FIT’s, families and small groups. Each unit offers great comfort for 5 passengers and our driver will assist them at their arrival transfer and all over the country. Taking in consideration that in Costa Rica there is a wide variety of excellent transport companies, larger units are outsourced to suppliers. These suppliers are evaluated and supervised under the same high standards of our own fleet. With the Wi-Fi service in the units, our visitors are able to immediately share all their experiences and maintain communication with their loved ones at home. Private transfer also include a bottled water.

Quality is our highest priority at TE Incentives DMC. Incentive houses and meeting planners can rely on us to get the highest quality in every service offered.

The most important steps given to keep and fulfill this compromise are the continued educational process for our staff members and the careful selection of suppliers (including hotels, restaurants, domestic airlines, off site venues, activities and entertainment options) through a process of inspection, meeting and testing.

TE Incentives DMC offers services and products and designs marketing strategies that guarantee the sustainability of tourism, encourages a satisfactory interpretation of the natural and cultural attractions, and when possible includes the direct involvement of the rural communities or supplementary services in the original programs created.
